Quick Cab

Objective

To develop a platform where people can have an access to comfortable on demand taxi booking app.

The main objective of the client, however, was to provide a platform to users and professional drivers for a convenient cab booking experience.

Problem

Our client came up with a few problems that a customer faces in a taxi booking app.

There are high chances that one destination may have alternate routes and calculation of fare becomes a challenge in such a case. Moreover, a driver needs the entire route right from pick-up to drop off which is again a difficulty.

Impact

Our developers implemented the Location manager to calculate the fare, thus, providing the customers the precise amount they need to pay.

To make navigation easier for drivers, our developers implemented directionUsingGoogle() method of a map manager class to draw polyline in the whole route right from pick-up to drop-off. To address the challenge of locating nearby drivers, we integrated custom API.
